ALEX Scott and Staff held its annual
all breeds bull sale at VLE Leongatha
last Tuesday, September 13, with record
Livestock representative Dane Perczyk said the top
Angus bull sold for $6800, which was a record setting
price for the annual sale.
“The top Hereford bull sold for $3250, the highest
priced Friesian sold for $3000 and the highest price
paid for a Jersey bull was $2000,” he said.
The sale attracted a yarding of 79 bulls, of which
72 were sold.
“The prices were very good and the bulls were in
great condition. The breeders had done a good job pre-
paring their animals for the sale,” Mr Perczyk said.
“It was one of our better bull sales.”
New beef: Matthew, Andrea and Heidi Peters from Wonthaggi were at the Alex Scott and
Staff annual all breeds bull sale at VLE Leongatha last Tuesday, September 13. They were
looking for an Angus bull.
Milked it: Chris Peters from Arawata bought two bulls at the Alex Scott and Staff annual all
breeds bull sale last Tuesday, September 13. He took home a Friesian bull and a Jersey bull
for his milking herd.
